How to fit the extension leaves
A 40-second animation of the six steps. The same steps work for every leaf. It is easiest with two people: one holds the leaf while the other fits and tightens the bolts.
The six steps
- Attach the steel receivers under the table, leaving the bolts loose.
- Attach the steel arms to the leaf, leaving these bolts loose too.
- Slide the arms into the receivers. Work the leaf in and out at least twice so everything lines up.
- Tighten the bolts under the arms, then check the leaf still slides.
- Tighten the bolts under the receivers.
- With the leaf on, a plastic wingnut holds it in place.
