Clear wax is similar to natural raw oak. The finish is semi translucent and in the rougher / courser areas of the grain the wax grabs to create a light grey tone.
Forest brown is similar to honey oak. The finish has a golden colour and in the rougher / courser areas of the grain the wax grabs to create a deep rustic orange tone.
Lime wax has a shabby chic look to it. The finish has a pale/white colour and in the rougher / courser areas of the grain the wax grabs to create a light grey tone.
Rugger brown is similar to medium oak. The finish has a light brown colour and in the rougher / courser areas of the grain the wax grabs to create a deeper rustic brown tone.
Jacobean is similar to walnut or mahogany but without the red tones. The finish has a brown colour and in the rougher / courser areas of the grain the wax grabs to create a deeper dark brown tone.
Grey wash has a contemporary feel to it. The finish has a medium grey colour and in the rougher / courser areas of the grain the wax grabs to create a dark grey tone.
Antique Oak has a light brown finish inbetween forest brown & rugger brown and is ideal for customers looking for a very natural earthy colour tone. The perfect match to internal oak doors.
Rustic weathered features a courser grain with more definition and areas where the wax grabs and appears darker in places.
Modern planed shelves feature a smooth even grained timber finish giving the wax an even finish
Antique Black offers a smooth clear coat of varnish over a raw steel (anthracite grey) finish.

LEG EXTENSIONS

The standard height of the bottom shelf is 13cm to the top of the shelf (9cm to the bottom of the shelf).

Extensions are only required if your skirting board is deeper than 2cm, higher than 13cm or if you want a higher bottom shelf. Please note the overall height of the shelving unit will increase by the extension height you pick.

FAQs

No, if you wish to fix the shelving unit to a wall you can do so with flexible L brackets that that can extend back to the wall by 8cm, thus bridging the gap the lowest shelf and skirting board may have created.

If you would prefer to raise the lowest shelf we can supply longer extension pipes between base flange and the first shelf. We have added an extension pipe variant for this purpose.

We are more than happy to check for you. Please send a rough sketch of the plug or light switches position on your wall, including height from floor and distance from edge of any wall you are positioning the shelving unit next to. We will recommend a solution, i.e. usually pipe extensions below the bottom shelf. Click here to contact us.

The shelves are made from the highest grade 38mm thickness kiln dried Scandinavian redwood pine. The 1.3inch diameter steel pipes are furniture grade, so feature threads which are half the size of normal plumbing pipe and are almost invisible when fully attached to the fittings. All our pipes are powder coated to marine-grade standard, resulting in a robust and superior aesthetic finish.

Yes we offer a sample service. Please email us pictures, preferably in day light, of your furniture you would like us to colour match to and we will send you some small wood samples in the post.

The shelves will arrive as 2 packs of 3 or 3 packs of 2 depending on size and weight.

The pipe kit will arrive via the same courier with comprehensive assembly instructions and fixings.

Its possible, depending on size and weight of the shelves that we may have to use a different courier for the pipe kit, however if this is the case we try to ensure all parts are delivered on the same day.

The pipe kit takes around 10 minutes to unwrap and the shelving unit takes around 10 minutes to build.

Although all the materials to manufacture this piece are in stock the shelves are handmade to order. The lead time therefore reflects that. See top of page for lead time info.

If you wish to return your items you must contact us within 14 days of purchase. If the Goods require collection, we will collect them from the address to which they were delivered. Yes if you give us enough notice and the lead time is achievable by our workshop we will book the courier in advance so that we can guarantee you delivery on your required day.

Yes we can supply all our pipe furniture in bulk, however the lead times may need to be extended depending on stock levels. Please email us with your bulk order request.
