Looking after it
- Each shelf holds up to 35 kg, spread evenly. Keep the heaviest things close to the brackets.
- Dust with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Blot spills straight away and wipe with a clean, damp cloth.
- Do not use chemical cleaners, abrasives or furniture polish on the timber or the steel.
- Check the screws are snug after the first few weeks, as the timber settles.

Seven finishes, one board
On planed pine the wax goes on even and consistent, with no saw marks to catch it: a calmer, more uniform colour.

Rustic or modern planed
Both are FSC certified kiln-dried Scandinavian redwood, made in our Cumbria workshop. The difference is the surface.
Rustic
The top face keeps the original markings from the Swedish circular saw mill. Each board is cut to size and sanded smooth to the touch, and the rustic areas take the wax for a two-tone effect.

Every shelf is made to order in our Cumbria workshop, usually in 3 to 4 weeks.

Your shelf, two brackets (plus any extras you add), and the screws and plugs for the wall you chose: 7 mm plugs and screws for brick, metal self-drill fixings for plasterboard.
Up to 35 kg a shelf on a brick or block wall, and up to 25 kg on plasterboard. Spread the load and keep the heaviest things near the brackets. We recommend an additional bracket every 80cm: add 1 bracket at 120cm, 2 at 200cm, 3 at 280cm.
Most shelves take about 8 minutes a bracket. The assembly guide on this page follows your length and wall type, with the spacing worked out for you. You need a drill, a spirit level, a pencil and a screwdriver.

Delivery is free to UK mainland addresses. For Northern Ireland, the Scottish islands and other off-mainland postcodes, contact us before ordering and we will arrange a quote.
Our manufacturing guarantee runs for 25 years from delivery, with a 2-year timber warranty (terms apply).
You can cancel within 14 days of ordering. Because every shelf is made to order, a restocking fee of up to 20% may apply, and once production has started the order may be non-refundable.
