We want to help you create made to measure furniture that is unique to you and expresses your identity. Therefore, you can customize our models just the way you want. If you have a good idea, you can also design something completely new - the only limit is your imagination and our pipe stock!

DESIGN

Make a small drawing of the pipe furniture you have in mind. This helps us to understand what exactly it is you are imagining
Include precise measurements (always use external measures)
Send your drawing to info@acumencollection.co.uk. We will get back to you as fast as possible with a price and, if necessary, minor modifications.

DELIVERY

As soon as you have placed your order, we will start to produce it.
It takes approximately 7-10 working days to produce custom pipe kits, and 14-21 days to make custom shelving and/or desktops, depending on how big and complicated the project is of course.
You will receive an e-mail with tracking information as soon as it leaves our warehouse.
The final product will be delivered in single parts to your home. We send the pipe kit separate to the timber.

ASSEMBLY

If your DIY solution differs a lot from our standard models, you will receive a drawing from us that indicates which parts have to be where. This will help you to get an overview before you start the assembly.
Depending on the complexity and size of your custom solution, we recommend to get the help of a friend.

A functional and long-lasting piece of furniture is an important part in any interior, that's why we always prioritise the quality of our products and we make sure that all our materials are carefully selected!

All "Design yourself" solutions are produced using solid furniture grade steel pipes in antique black (anthracite grey), powder coated black or silver galvanised pipes and can withstand an enormous amount of weight.

We have already designed a wide range of pipe furniture and completed on site installs for interior projects with custom made pipe kits.

"Design it yourself" is for you who have an idea or a project that stands out from the ordinary. With our DIY you don't have to search for materials, tools and other remedies to be able to solve the task. We take care of that for you!

What is the delivery time?

We are trying to deliver pipe kits within 7-14 work days. If your design includes Acumen Collection timber the lead time will extend to 14-21 days. For complicated or extra large designs lead times will adjust accordingly. We will confirm the lead time prior to accepting your order.
I don't know where to start?

If you are not up for drawing yourself, we are ready to help you by email or phone. Just tell us about your idea on info@acumencollection.co.uk and our customer service team will help you onwards.
How much weight can an Acumen Collection® pipe kit carry?

Our pipe furniture solutions can carry a weight of more than 100kg as they are made of robust iron pipes. It is however important, that all designs that get mounted to the wall or to the ceiling are attached using the right plugs and screws. Pay attention that the screws are screwed directly into the stone and not the gaps.
Do you need tools for assembly?

You don't need any tools to assemble your pipe furniture. However, it's always a good idea to call for a helping hand if you are dealing with larger solutions
What timber do you use?

As standard we use the highest quality 38mm kiln dried Scandinavian redwood pine. We offer a rustic weathered or modern planed finish and a variety of wax finishes.
Do you offer different timber types?

Yes, as your design is bespoke to you we can of course supply a bespoke selection of timber types. If our timber merchant has the stock we can finish and supply it.

We are so happy with the custom media unit that acumen have made for us. Has made our room a lot lighter than it used to be with a standard bookcase. We did have some trouble with the delivery of our items due to the hgv driver shortage and things taking longer than they should but this wasn't acumen's fault. The shelves arrived at the date stated and were well packaged with no damage. They were straightforward to put together with two of us and they fixed to the wall well. They fee super sturdy and the finish on the wood is lovely. They really finish our room off and we couldn’t be happier with our shelves- they are well worth the money. (We paid about £100 less for some from Etsy but when they arrived they weren’t good at all so had to send them back- very glad we chose Acumen shelves instead.) I bought 2 desks from Acumen with the idea of putting them together as an 'L' shape. Acumen were very helpful and responsive to my questions about whether or not this would work!

The desks are beautiful and high quality - exactly what I was hoping for. They weren't difficult to put together, and seem pretty sturdy even without screwing the feet in to the floor (we're on carpet so haven't tried that yet!).
