Black powder coat provides a tough protective layer. Our unique surface conditioning operation provides a beautifully clean and uniform look. Our coatings are recommended for indoor use only.
Antique Black offers a smooth clear coat of varnish over a raw steel (anthracite grey) finish.

Clear wax is similar to natural raw oak. The finish is semi translucent and in the rougher / courser areas of the grain the wax grabs to create a light grey tone.
Forest brown is similar to honey oak. The finish has a golden colour and in the rougher / courser areas of the grain the wax grabs to create a deep rustic orange tone.
Lime wax has a shabby chic look to it. The finish has a pale/white colour and in the rougher / courser areas of the grain the wax grabs to create a light grey tone.
Rugger brown is similar to medium oak. The finish has a light brown colour and in the rougher / courser areas of the grain the wax grabs to create a deeper rustic brown tone.
Jacobean is similar to walnut or mahogany but without the red tones. The finish has a brown colour and in the rougher / courser areas of the grain the wax grabs to create a deeper dark brown tone.
Grey wash has a contemporary feel to it. The finish has a medium grey colour and in the rougher / courser areas of the grain the wax grabs to create a dark grey tone.
Antique Oak has a light brown finish inbetween forest brown & rugger brown and is ideal for customers looking for a very natural earthy colour tone. The perfect match to internal oak doors.
END BANDS Metal end bands will add an extra industrial vibe to the shelving unit.
We will install 1 x 75mm dia. cable grommet to the back of the desk. This will enable cables to be fed through a single point. The position of grommet is the center/back of the desk. Grommets are made from natural oak and will be waxed the same finish as your desk and shelves. If you require a specific placement please include the position in the order notes section on the cart page.

Our handmade to order rustic shelves are made from the highest quality kiln dried Scandinavian pine boards in our Cumbria based workshop.

  • Each piece of wood is carefully selected and hand finished to a very high standard.
  • All our wood comes from FSC certified suppliers meaning the wood is taken from sustainably managed forests.
  • The kiln drying process ensures the wood has the perfect moisture content for in door furniture use.
  • This includes hand sanding and finishing with two generous coats of 'Fiddes' supreme wax
  • We can also add optional metal end bands to each end of the shelf.

 

The Pipe Kit

You can be assured your Acumen Collection® pipe kit will arrive to your home or  commercial premise in excellent condition. Each pipe kit is manufactured exclusively for furniture and each fitting is individually wrapped and carefully packed in a heavy duty double boxed parcel.

 Unwrapping the pipe kit takes between 5-10 minutes.

 We guarantee every part will arrive scratch-free or we will simply send out replacement pieces free of charge.

The Assembly

The below video is indicative of an assembly process only. This product listing is the AC09 - Double office desk.
Our pipe kits are super easy to assemble and have no threads visible when connected. They come in an Antique Black or Matte black finish with matching cast iron fittings at the joint.
In order to maintain stability, a second person should hold the unit as it is built up.
All fixings and detailed assembly instructions are included with the kit.
