We use the world renowned Fiddes supreme wax polish on all of our made to measure wooden products.
With 6 wax finishes to choose from choosing can be hard so we created this guide to help you understand our wax finishes.
Our standard wax finish delivers an exquisite look and tactile feel. However, to preserve its optimal appearance, you'll want to reapply wax every 1-2 years.
Our hard wax oil option offers the same beautiful wax finish with an additional layer of clear matte hard wax oil. This extra coat provides enhanced protection against spills, heat, and even harmful UV rays. This is particularly useful when your table is exposed to direct sunlight, such as through French doors or windows. While hard wax oil is optional, we highly recommend its application to all table tops.
For long-lasting beauty and the continued benefits of added protection, we suggest reapplying a coat of hard wax oil every 4-5 years. The application process, whether it's wax or hard wax oil, is straightforward and takes just around 5 minutes per square meter.
Our raw steel legs exhibit prominent welded seams that have been meticulously ground and coated with a clear lacquer, effectively safeguarding against rust. In their natural, clear lacquered state, the steel boasts an anthracite hue, giving it a distinct appearance. The ground welds lend a brushed steel finish.
On the other hand, our black powder-coated legs offer a consistent, sleek satin black finish, creating a contemporary contrast to our raw steel option.

No - all our dining tables and benches arrive disassembled. Rest assured they are very easy to put together. We send out some simple instructions regarding the placement of the legs and care and maintenance of the wood.
Yes & No! It all depends on the style of dining table and how far you require the bench to push under the table. For example with X Frame & Trapezium legs you can order the same length bench as your table and still be able to push the bench under the table by around 50% of the benches width. On the other hand, a square leg table would require a bench which is 30cm shorter in length in order for the bench to fit between the legs once it is assembled. It really comes down to the over footprint area that is available in the space your dining table and benches will occupy. Again, we are on hand to give friendly advice if you require it before making your purchase.
