Timber type

Reclaimed Elm (Free Upgrade) Rustic Pine

Reclaimed Elm (Free Upgrade): Our recommended timber. A dense hardwood with decades of history in every board — fine, tight, straight grain with small dark pin knots. The considered choice, at the same price as pine as a free upgrade. Cut in small batches — popular sizes go fast, so check availability below.
Rustic Pine: FSC certified kiln-dried Scandinavian redwood. Rustic Weathered carries the sweep of arced Swedish saw marks across the face; Modern Planed removes them. Warm honey tone, round dark knots.

Introducing the Grisedale Dining Table, a stunning fusion of a classic industrial leg design combined with natural rustic charm of the Chunky Table Top. This table is the perfect centerpiece to add a touch of timeless, rustic-industrial style to your home.

Meticulously handcrafted by our skilled artisans, who take pride in their craft and strive for perfection, the Grisedale Dining Table is built to last. Every detail is carefully considered, ensuring a sturdy and functional piece that will withstand the test of time.

The rustic weathered tabletop is crafted from ethically sourced PEFC Kiln Dried Pine, showcasing the natural beauty of the wood. We take great care to maintain the unique patina and charm of the wood, adding a touch of warmth and character to your dining space.

The table's legs feature a robust construction, made from high-quality 60mm x 60mm steel box structure. These sturdy legs provide reliable support and durability, ensuring the table remains stable for years to come. Choose from two standard finishes for the legs, or opt for a bespoke RAL color finish for a truly personalized touch that complements your unique style.

The Grisedale Dining Table effortlessly blends the timeless elegance of the stunning spider industrial leg design with the natural rustic tones of the tabletop. The result is a visually striking piece that adds a touch of sophistication to any dining area.

Whether you're hosting intimate gatherings or large family dinners, the Grisedale Dining Table is available in a range of sizes therefore providing ample space for your guests to dine in comfort. Its substantial table thickness, available in either 50mm or 75mm, adds to the table's robust and substantial presence, making it a focal point in any room.

TABLE HEIGHT:

All our table legs are precisely measured at a height of 71cm. This measurement ensures that when combined with a 50mm thickness table top, the total height of the table reaches 76cm (78.5cm with 75mm top). We can make the legs higher or lower if you wish, please contact us direct to enquire about adjusting leg design.

TABLE LENGTH & WIDTH:

For your convenience, we provide a selection of standard sizes that you can choose from using the dropdown menu's above. However, we understand that you may have specific dimensions in mind for your table. In such cases, we are delighted to offer the option of crafting a custom-sized table tailored to your requirements.

To place an order for a bespoke table size, simply select "Yes" for the "Require a custom table size" option above, and carefully follow the instructions provided. Should you prefer to discuss your specifications with us before placing an order, kindly fill out the below contact form below, and we will promptly get in touch with you.

LEG PLACEMENT (SPACE FOR CHAIRS):

All tables and legs are supplied disassembled, this affords you the option of positioning the legs ideally relative to the desired chair configuration and chair width. Pine is a softwood therefore pilot holes and or threaded inserts are not required. Please note - our size chart assumes a chair width of no more than 50cm. If the chairs are greater than 50cm you will need to recalculate how many chairs will fit around the table.

WAX FINISH

7 Premium wax polishes or hard wax oil (optional upgrade) finishes to choose from - the table in main picture is finished with clear wax.

INDOOR USE ONLY

These tables are designed for indoor use.

TIMBER

Made from 38mm or 50mm Scandinavian Redwood Kiln-Dried Pine with a double coat of Fiddes Premium Wax Polish - Rustic weathered patina.

LEGS

ASSEMBLY & FIXINGS

Table tops and legs are supplied disassembled. Assembly instructions and fixings are supplied with the order. Attaching the legs involves using a Philips screwdriver with the supplied fixings. The flexibility of attaching the legs means that they can be positioned according to the required leg or bench setup i.e. if chairs are needed at each end of the table the legs would be inset further than if only chairs and benches are used at either side. For any further questions regarding assembly please contact us directly as we are more than happy to assist.

AFTER CARE

Wipe clean only, do not place hot items directly onto the surface.

Handmade in Cumbria

Three trades. One roof. Your table.

Established 2018 · 37,000+ homes served

Every table you configure here is made to order in our Cumbrian workshop. Our joiners cut, joint, strengthen and hand-finish the top. Our welding team fabricates the steel legs from scratch. Our finishing team applies wax or oil and inspects every piece before it's carefully and robustly packed by our packing team, then delivered by our dedicated two-man courier team.

The timber makes the table

Two timbers, same price. Reclaimed elm is our recommended choice — a dense hardwood we've made available as a free upgrade. Pine remains the option for those who prefer a lighter, more classic look.

Reclaimed Elm

Dense hardwood · Fine, tight grain · Small dark pin knots

Aged character in every board. Reclaimed elm is denser and stronger than pine, with a fine straight grain and subtle pin knots. Because supply is limited we've made it available at the same price as pine — a free upgrade while stocks last.

Rustic Pine

FSC certified · Kiln-dried Scandinavian redwood

Warm honey tone with distinctive round dark knots. Rustic Weathered carries the sweep of arced Swedish saw marks across the face; Modern Planed removes them for a smoother, more refined top.

This product · Spider leg

The Grisedale leg

Hand-fabricated from 80 × 40 mm mild steel box section with a 3 mm wall. Every leg is hand-welded by our Cumbrian welding team — welds penetrate the steel, making them unbreakable. Available in three finishes.

Raw Steel · Visible Welds

Natural mill finish with the welds and mark of the workshop kept visible. Sealed with a clear rust-proof coat. Industrial character.

Powder Coat Matt Black

Satin matt black finish, chip-resistant, easy to keep clean. Our most-picked leg finish.

Custom RAL Colour +£100

Powder-coated in any RAL colour of your choice. Match kitchen cabinets, radiators or design accents exactly.

Optional · Extendable leaves

Grow your table from 6 to 12 in 4 minutes

Every extendable Acumen table is made from a single full-length top (table + leaves), then cut apart. That way the grain runs continuously from the main table across every leaf — no colour mismatch, no visible seam, every leaf a perfect match. When you need the space, slide the leaves back in on a slide-out steel cantilever frame.

Two leaves, one each end · 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 cm sizes
Cut from your table's own top · continuous grain, seamless fit
Slide-out steel cantilever frame · no wobble, no drop
4-minute set-up · single-person friendly, Allen key supplied

The process · 8–10 weeks, start to finish

How your table is made

Weeks 1–5

Steel legs fabricated

Your leg design is cut from 80 × 40 mm mild steel box section and hand-welded by our welding team. Welds penetrate the steel — unbreakable joints. Legs then go for powder coating in your chosen finish.

Weeks 6–7

Timber selected & top made

Our joiners hand-pick boards for grain and colour match, then cut, joint and strengthen your table top. Every plank in your table shares a family — batched together from the start.

Weeks 7–8

Hand finished

Two coats of Fiddes wax (or hard wax oil), applied and hand-buffed by our finishing team. Every top is inspected before it leaves the finishing bench.

Weeks 8–10

Packed & delivered

Wrapped and boxed by our packing team, then delivered by our dedicated two-man courier team. We call to book a delivery slot with you.

Real questions from real customers

Frequently asked

How do I choose between reclaimed elm and rustic pine?

Both are the same price — reclaimed elm is a free upgrade. Elm is denser and stronger with a fine straight grain and small dark pin knots. Pine is warmer in tone with distinctive round dark knots and, on Rustic Weathered, arced Swedish saw marks. Order samples from Complete the Set above to see both in person.

What's the difference between Rustic Weathered and Modern Planed?

Rustic Weathered keeps the surface texture from the original planing — subtle marks across the face that catch the wax and give the top character. Modern Planed removes them for a smoother, more refined top. Same timber, same wax colours — the difference is the surface.

How much space do I need around a 180 × 110 table?

Industry rule of thumb: leave 90 cm clearance on each side so chairs can pull out comfortably. A 180 × 110 table therefore needs a room space of at least 360 × 290 cm. Extending? Add the leaf length to your table dimension, not to the clearance.

Can you match a specific RAL colour on the legs?

Yes — any RAL colour, powder-coated, for a £100 surcharge. Ideal for matching kitchen cabinets, radiators or a design accent. Send us the RAL code at checkout in the order notes, or we'll email you after order confirmation to confirm your choice.

How do the extendable leaves attach and where do I store them?

Slide the leaves out on the built-in cantilever frame with the supplied Allen key — a 4-minute single-person job. Leaves store separately from the table when not in use (they're not stored inside). Same-timber, same-finish match — cut from your table's own top for continuous grain.

What's your delivery process for larger tables?

Free UK mainland delivery on every table via our dedicated two-man courier team. We contact you 3–5 days before shipping to book a convenient day. Saturday delivery included at no surcharge across most of UK mainland. 5-minute set-up on arrival with the supplied fixings.

How do I care for the finish long-term?

Wax Polish tables benefit from an occasional wax refresh with the Fiddes Wax Care Pack (in Complete the Set above). Hard Wax Oil tables need less maintenance — the finish is more durable to spills and heat. Always use coasters and place mats to protect the finish under hot or wet items.

Can I cancel or return my order?

Cancellations within 14 days of ordering. Once production has started (material ordering, cutting, jointing, finishing, packing) a restocking fee of up to 20% may apply. See our Terms & Conditions for full details.
