A handmade rustic shelf for when you already have brackets, want to use your own fixings, or need a solid board for an alcove, bookcase or built-in unit. Made to order in our Cumbria workshop from FSC certified kiln-dried Scandinavian redwood, with a rough-sawn weathered texture and two coats of Fiddes Supreme Wax in your choice of finish.

We carefully and generously apply two coats of Premium Fiddes Wax polish to all our wooden products.

The wax finish enhances all the natural features and wood grain whilst also protecting the timber.
We recommend sprucing up your shelves every 1-2 years with one of our wax care packs to keep them looking tip top!

Our rustic shelves are handmade to order in our Cumbria workshop from FSC certified kiln-dried Scandinavian redwood.

Each board is hand selected and given a rough-sawn weathered texture for a coarser, more characterful grain.
FSC certification means the timber comes from responsibly managed forests.
Kiln drying brings the wood to the right moisture content for indoor use.
Every shelf is hand sanded and finished with two generous coats of Fiddes Supreme Wax.
Optional metal end bands can be added to each end of the shelf.

DELIVERY

3-4 weeks | Free UK mainland delivery
We use APC for shelves up to 150cm and Proovia for longer shelves.
A shipped notification email including tracking information will be sent as soon as your order is dispatched.

PACKAGING

All orders are carefully wrapped with cardboard with additional corner protection and fragile tape added to avoid damage in transit.

RETURNS

You can cancel your order within 14 days of placing it. As every shelf is made to order, a restocking fee of up to 20% may apply, and once production has started the order may be non-refundable.
Any inbound and outbound shipping costs are covered by the customer for change of mind.

OVERSEAS SHIPPING

All orders placed from outside of the UK will be subject to longer lead times and attract a delivery charge. This is calculated at checkout however if you have a bulk order feel free to contact us direct for a bespoke shipping quote as the rates can vary significantly in short periods of time.

We pay import VAT on behalf of the customer.

Every shelf gets two generous coats of Fiddes Supreme Wax by hand. The rough-sawn texture means the wax settles deeper into the grain, so each finish has two tones.
