Modern planed finish includes a smooth planed finish to the grain, this results in a consistent finish with much less wax grabbing in the courser areas of the grain.
Rustic weathered finish includes rounded edges and more definition in the grain, this results in areas where wax grabs to create a two tone finish.
Clear wax is similar to natural raw oak. The finish is semi translucent and in the rougher / courser areas of the grain the wax grabs to create a light grey tone.
Forest brown is similar to honey oak. The finish has a golden colour and in the rougher / courser areas of the grain the wax grabs to create a deep rustic orange tone.
Lime wax has a shabby chic look to it. The finish has a pale/white colour and in the rougher / courser areas of the grain the wax grabs to create a light grey tone.
Rugger brown is similar to medium oak. The finish has a light brown colour and in the rougher / courser areas of the grain the wax grabs to create a deeper rustic brown tone.
Jacobean is similar to walnut or mahogany but without the red tones. The finish has a brown colour and in the rougher / courser areas of the grain the wax grabs to create a deeper dark brown tone.
Grey wash has a contemporary feel to it. The finish has a medium grey colour and in the rougher / courser areas of the grain the wax grabs to create a dark grey tone.
Antique Oak has a light brown finish inbetween forest brown & rugger brown and is ideal for customers looking for a very natural earthy colour tone. The perfect match to internal oak doors.
TBC means we will wait for you to confirm your wax finish post purchase. We recommend this option if you need to wait for your timber samples to arrive.
Raw steel finish includes the original foundry black (closer to a dark grey than black) with visible grinded welds finished with a clear lacquer to prevent rusting.
Matte black finish includes our inhouse vinyl spray paint that gives a full matte black coverage.
We will supply a bracket that enables the console shelf to be fixed to a supporting wall.

Introducing the Bedford XL - Rustic Industrial Console Table, a statement piece handcrafted to order in our Cumbria workshop.

Designed to impress, this console table is available in two standard depths of 22cm and 30cm, providing options to suit your specific needs and preferences.

We prioritise sustainability and ethical practices, which is why we source our materials exclusively from the UK. The table is meticulously constructed using 45mm kiln dried PEFC rough sawn pine, guaranteeing both durability and an authentic rustic appeal.

To elevate its charm, we offer a range of six premium wax finishes, allowing you to customise the final look to perfectly complement your interior.

The frame of the Bedford XL console table is flawlessly finished with a raw steel clear lacquer or a black powder coating, providing a blend of rustic and industrial design elements. If you desire a different color from the RAL palette, we are pleased to accommodate your specific requests.

We carefully and generously apply two coats of Premium Fiddes Wax polish to all our wooden products.

Alternatively, if you are looking to colour match to existing furniture please contact us direct to discuss this. If you provide us with images of the furniture you would like us to colour match to we can let you know which of our wax finishes is the closest match.

  • Rustic weathered offers a coarser grained finish with areas where the wax grabs. There is a slight concave side/hump on our rustic weathered table tops but they are still practical for every day use. 

  • Modern planed provides a sleek smooth perfectly flat finish that adds a contemporary sleek touch to the console table.

We use 25 x 25mm box section section welded by hand, which means we ensure welds penetrate the steel, making it unbreakable.

The frame can be finished in a raw steel with clear lacquer or matte black powder coat for +£15.

Extremely robust and hard wearing - these console tables are built to last.

A small L shaped bracket can be supplied as an optional extra to enable a fixing to your wall should you need some extra stability.

The table top is made from the highest grade kiln dried Scandinavian redwood pine. The legs are manufactured by hand using British mild steel 25x25mm box section. All our metalwork is then powder coated to marine-grade standard, resulting in a robust and superior aesthetic finish.

Yes we can. Please contact us with your bespoke requirement and we will be happy to offer a free quote.

Yes we offer a sample service. Please email us pictures, preferably in day light, of your furniture you would like us to colour match to and we will send you some small wood samples in the post.

The table top and legs are self assembly and as such arrive in separate parcels. Its possible, depending on size and weight of the table top that we may use different couriers, however we do try to ensure both pieces are delivered on the same day.

The console legs take around 5 minutes to attach to the table top using the fixings provided.

Although all the materials to manufacture this piece are in stock this item is handmade to order. The lead time therefore reflects that. See top of page for lead time info.

If you wish to return your items you must contact us within 14 days of purchase. If the Goods require collection, we will collect them from the address to which they were delivered. However, you may be charged with a restocking fee. Your refund will be processed after the product is returned to our warehouse and thoroughly inspected. Yes if you have a specific timber requirement and we can source it we are happy to offer a free quote. Please note this will add approx 2 weeks to the lead time.

Yes if you give us enough notice and the lead time is achievable by our workshop we will book the courier in advance so that we can guarantee you delivery on your required day.

Yes we can supply these console table units in bulk, however the lead times may need to be extended depending on stock levels. Please email us with your bulk order request.
